The Role

The Head of Sales is a full-time, on-site role based in San Francisco, CA, responsible for building and leading Conduit's sales motion. This role oversees the development and execution of the go-to-market strategy, including pipeline generation, enterprise sales campaigns, and long-term customer relationships with manufacturing clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include relationship management, force multiplying the sales team, setting targets and performance metrics, driving account planning, and collaborating with leadership to refine positioning and pricing. This person will build out the sales fleet from the ground up. The Head of Sales will engage directly with key accounts, lead complex deal negotiations, and ensure consistent, data-driven forecasting and reporting to the leadership team.

What you'll do

  • Build and own Conduit's sales motion, developing and executing the go-to-market strategy across pipeline generation, enterprise campaigns, and long-term customer relationships.

  • Recruit, hire, and build out the sales team, then act as a force multiplier, coaching reps, setting targets, and raising the bar on performance across the entire team.

  • Engage directly with key manufacturing accounts, leading complex, enterprise-level deal negotiations from first conversation to close.

  • Set targets and performance metrics, and drive rigorous account planning across the team.

  • Own data-driven forecasting and reporting to the leadership team, with a clear, accurate view of the pipeline at all times.

  • Manage and grow strategic accounts over the long term, uncovering upsell and cross-sell opportunities.

  • Partner with leadership to refine positioning, packaging, and pricing based on what you're hearing in the market.

  • Travel to customer sites as needed to build relationships and win deals on the factory floor.

Who You Are

  • Strong Sales and Sales Management skills, with a track record of exceeding revenue targets in industrial environments.

  • Proficiency in account management, including developing long-term relationships, upselling, and cross-selling within strategic accounts.

  • Ability to interpret sales data, build accurate forecasts, segment markets, inform pricing and packaging, and enrich strategic decisions.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with comfort engaging senior executives and technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to work on-site in San Francisco, CA, and travel to customer locations as needed.
